Preliminary Announcement of: 49th Annual Conference at The Royal Hotel, Bideford, North Devon Tuesday 4th - Thursday 6th January, 2011
Conference Venue The Ussher Society is pleased to announce its 49th Annual Conference at The Royal Hotel, Bideford, Devon. This 3-day conference for earth and environmental scientists working in South-West England and related areas, consists of two days of presentations and a pre-conference field trip. Scientific Program The scientific program of presentations is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th January. Oral and/or poster presentations are invited in all areas of geosciences including
Contributions to the scientific programme are welcomed. Please submit your abstract to the Conference Secretary by 31st October 2010. Your submission should include: Title, Author(s) and an Abstract of no more than 200 words. All presenting authors are encouraged to submit their paper for publication, subject to peer review, in Geoscience in South-West England, official journal of the Ussher Society Field Trip The pre-conference field trip will take place on Tuesday 4th January – location to be decided Ice-breaker Tuesday 4th January 18.30 Registration and ice-breaker at the Royal Hotel Annual General Meeting The Annual General Meeting of the Ussher Society, to which all members are invited, will take place after the afternoon presentations on Wednesday 5th January and will be followed by the Conference Dinner.
